国家移民管理局发布公告，自2024年12月17日起，对于符合条件的外国公民免签过境停留时间从之前的72小时和144小时延长至240小时（10天）。此外，为免签过境人员新增21个入出境口岸，进一步扩大了免签过境旅行者的停留活动区域。包括俄罗斯、巴西、英国、美国和加拿大在内的54个国家的公民，从中国前往第三国（地区）旅行，可以通过60个开放口岸中的任何一个进入，并可以在24个省（区、市）允许停留活动区域内跨省域旅行。

The National Immigration Administration has announced that starting from December 17, 2024, the stay duration for foreign nationals eligible for visa-free transit has been extended from the previous 72 hours and 144 hours to 240 hours (10 days) . Additionally, 21 ports of entry and exit have been added for visa-free transit individuals, further expanding the allowed areas for visa-free transit travelers. Individuals from 54 eligible countries, including Russia, Brazil, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and Canada, traveling from China to a third country (region), can enter visa-free through any of the 60 open ports in 24 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities), and travel cross provinces within designated areas.

此次新政实施，经太原武宿国际机场口岸符合过境免签条件的外国人停留区域可在适用过境免签政策的北京等24个省（区、市）规定区域内旅游观光、跨省旅行，极大便利来晋交流，推动山西省高水平对外开放。

With the implementation of this new policy, foreign nationals who meet the visa-free transit conditions at Taiyuan Wusu International Airport can travel within the designated areas in 24 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) including Beijing, where the visa-free transit policy is applicable. This will greatly facilitate exchanges in Shanxi and promote the province’s high-level opening up to the outside world.

54个符合过境免签政策国家名单

The applicant must be a citizen of one of the following 54 countries that are eligible for the visa-free transit policy:

欧洲国家（40个）：奥地利、比利时、捷克、丹麦、爱沙尼亚、芬兰、法国、德国、希腊、匈牙利、冰岛、意大利、拉脱维亚、立陶宛、卢森堡、马耳他、荷兰、波兰、葡萄牙、斯洛伐克、斯洛文尼亚、西班牙、瑞典、瑞士、克罗地亚、挪威、俄罗斯、英国、爱尔兰、塞浦路斯、保加利亚、罗马尼亚、乌克兰、塞尔维亚、波黑、黑山、马其顿、阿尔巴尼亚、摩纳哥、白俄罗斯。

Europe (40 countries): Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Monaco, Russia, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia, and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Albania, Belarus, and Norway.

适用240小时过境免签政策的54个国家的公民，可从太原武宿国际机场口岸入境或从其他适用过境免签政策的省（区、市）转至山西并由此出境。

Citizens of 54 countries eligible for the 240-hour visa-free transit policy can enter China via Taiyuan Wusu International Airport or cross into Shanxi from other provinces (autonomous regions or municipalities) where the visa-free policy applies.

办妥入境手续

Complete entry procedures

符合条件的外籍旅客，持用有效期不少于3个月的本人护照和240小时内已确定日期及座位的前往第三国（地区）的联程客票或相关证明并填写外国人临时入境卡，可向太原武宿国际机场的山西出入境边防检查站提出申请，经依法办理过境手续后入境。

Eligible foreign travelers who hold a passport with at least three months of validity and interline passenger tickets or other documents with a specified date and seat to a third country (region) within 240 hours, complete the Arrival Card for Temporary Entry Foreigners, can apply to the Shanxi Immigration Inspection Station in Taiyuan Wusu International Airport. After completing the required entry procedures, they can enter China.

免签停留时间自入境次日零时起算。比如：游客2025年1月1日入境中国，停留期从2025年1月2日零时起算，最多可在免签停留区域内停留10天，即1月11日24时前离境。

The duration of stay for each foreign traveler starts from 0:00 on the day following the day of entry. For example: A foreign traveler enters China on January 1st, 2025. The period of stay is calculated from 00:00 on January 2nd, 2025. Traveler can stay in the designated area for a maximum of 10 days, and depart before 24:00 on January 11th.

注意活动范围：入境后，外籍旅客可依照规定在太原市、大同市或跨省旅行，合理规划旅游路线，不得超范围停留。

Note the allowed activity area: After entering, foreign travelers are allowed to travel within Taiyuan city, Datong City or cross provinces, but they must plan their travel routes reasonably and not exceed the designated areas.

遵守停留规定：在华停留期间要遵守中国法律规定，入境后24小时内在旅店或公安派出所办理住宿登记。240小时内可从事旅游、商务、访问、探亲等活动。

Comply with stay regulations: During their stay in China, foreign nationals must adhere to Chinese laws. They must register at a hotel or local police station within 24 hours of arrival. Within the 240-hour period, they can engage in tourism, business, visiting, or family-related activities.

• If there are special reasons for staying in Shanxi Province beyond the prescribed time limit or outside the designated area, foreign travelers should apply in advance for a stay permit with the local immigration department of the public security bureau in Taiyuan City or Datong City.
